Flora and Fauna
- The fauna is dominated by the guiña, the pudú, the gray fox, the southern coypu, and the wild cat, as well as other introduced species such as the hare.
- The birds include the chucao, the hued hued, the torcaza, the choroy, the large woodpecker and the southern partridge, among others.
- The flora is dominated by coigue, hualle, canelo, myrtle and ulmo.
The climate ranges from 3 to 20 °C. The sector does not have dry months, but February is the most affected month.
